On March 23, 2007 the OPS Team was in Munford at a private residence for an investigation into some activity into the home as well as the yard and a wooded area also on the property. The reports are that there has been a Civil War soldier seen on the property and in the home. There has been an old lady seen in the home as well and there has been one report of a physical touching. The shed out back has shown activity as well, there have been numerous objects seen around the back corner of the shed, and the family gets a very uneasy feeling when they get anywhere near the rock that is on a wooded path in the lower part of their yard. The team arrived around 7:00 pm and started setting up equipment. We set up four different cameras. One camera was placed on the back of the shed, one near the rock, one upstairs in the home, and one downstairs in the home. After setting up the cameras and doing an initial walk-thru of the home and property, we begun our investigation around 8:30 pm. Two members began doing EVP, EMF, temperature, humidity and barometric readings in the home, downstairs and upstairs, while two members started around the shed behind the home and in the lower part of the yard near the storm shelter and the rock, doing the same. In the lower part of the yard there is a partially wooded area with a path that leads down to an old rock and an additional shed of some sort where activity has been reported around this rock. We left two digital voice recorders and one hand held night vision camera an areas around the rock. In the early part of the evening while two members were at the rock doing EVP/EMF work, one reported hearing what sounded like whispers coming from the nearby train tracks that run parallel to the yard, and they both heard what sounded like footsteps walking down the path towards them. Later that evening two more members were coming back to the house from the wooded path and again footsteps were heard by one of the members near the storm shelter that sits about twenty yards from the path. After reviewing all of the evidence, we did not find anything unusual on either video or audio, and we never really saw a fluctuation in any of the gauges on the equipment used that night. While watching the video we did notice some unusual looking bright orbs floating throughout the home as well as the yard. We later discovered that the inside orbs were actually moths flying and the outside orbs were huge pollen particles. The amount of pollen in the air that evening almost looked as if you were viewing a light snow blizzard. The pollen particles also made for some interesting digital photos; they were very big and ranged from yellow to green in color. NOTE: We did have an encounter with a loud shrieking sound while we were down on the wooded path near the rock. It was heard twice by team members at two different times while doing EVP work. Both times the sound was caught on the recorders. We later learned from the home owner that there is a screech owl that inhabits the woods near the home.
